  • UNM Learn planned outage Saturday, May 26, 4:30 am - Monday, May 28, 5:00 pm MT (Friday, July 6, 2018)

    Over Memorial Day weekend, UNM IT will be performing critical preventive power maintenance work in the building that houses the Data Center. Many services, including UNM Learn, will be unavailable. IT will begin shutting down services at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 25th. UNM Learn, however, will remain available until Saturday, May 26 at 4:30 am when it will become unavailable. All services are planned to be up and available by Monday, May 28 at 5:00 pm. Please be aware of these dates and plan your work in any active courses around these times.

    Regular updates will be posted on IT Alerts throughout the weekend, and an all-university email will be sent once the Learn service is restored and available for use. A second email will be sent when the Data Center work is complete and ALL services are available.   • UNM Learn planned outages: May 19 and May 26-28 (Thursday, June 28, 2018)

    UNM Learn will be unavailable for two planned outages in May due to 1) Learn maintenance and 2) UNM IT Data Center maintenance that will impact many services at UNM.

    1) Saturday, May 19, 4:30 am - 2:00 pm MT:

    UNM Learn will be unavailable on Saturday, May 19, from 4:30 am until 2:00 pm, for system maintenance.

    2) Saturday, May 26, 4:30 am through Monday, May 28, 5:00 pm MT (Memorial Day weekend):

    UNM IT will be performing critical preventive power maintenance work in the building that houses the Data Center. 

    IT will begin shutting down services at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 25th. UNM Learn, however, will remain available until Saturday, May 26 at 4:30 am when it will become unavailable. All services are planned to be up and available by Monday, May 28 at 5:00 pm. UNM Learn instructors should avoid setting any submission deadlines during the outage window.

    This maintenance is being conducted between the main terms in order to minimize the number of users affected in all areas at UNM. We understand this will be a significant impact to courses running in UNM Learn during these windows. The UNM Learn maintenance is necessary to stay on a supported release and the Data Center maintenance is necessary to mitigate the risk of lengthy unplanned outages related to power disruptions to the Data Center.

  • UNM Learn maintenance window: 4:30am – 5:30am daily (Wednesday, May 2, 2018)

    UNM Learn has a daily maintenance window from 4:30am to 5:30am. The application will be unavailable for part or all of the window, depending on the nature of the work being done.

    There is also a routine UNM Learn maintenance window every Saturday from 5:30 am until 12 noon which may be used as needed for system maintenance. In addition to this, IT may conduct general system maintenance that affects multiple systems on campus, including UNM Learn. The general system maintenance window is on Sundays, from 6am until 12 noon. Every effort is made to conduct maintenance between terms when at all possible. However, there may be times during the semester when UNM Learn must be brought down for system maintenance. In most circumstances, announcements will be posted in UNM Learn two weeks ahead of time to notify users of any outages planned during these windows.
